Terms of Use
Last updated: 14 June 2026
In plain English
This tool checks government registry data and tells you what it finds. It cannot tell you whether a job offer is genuine. Do not share personal documents with any employer based solely on a result from this tool. Always do your own research.
These Terms of Use govern your use of Employer Check at employercheck.com.au, operated by Samuel Gyimah (ABN 65 246 763 997).
By using this tool you agree to these terms.
What the tool does
Employer Check queries publicly available government data sources and returns information about the government registry status of Australian businesses. It does not verify the identity of individuals, assess the intentions of employers, or make determinations about whether a job offer is genuine.
A low-risk result means no government registry risk indicators were found at the time of the check. It does not mean the employer is who they say they are, that the job offer is genuine, or that you should proceed without further checks of your own. Sophisticated actors may pass all government registry checks.
A high-risk or some-records-not-found result means one or more government registry signals were absent. It does not confirm wrongdoing on the employer's part. New businesses, sole traders, and small companies often have fewer registry signals than established employers.
No legal or financial advice
Nothing on this site constitutes legal advice, financial advice, or career advice. Do not make employment decisions based solely on a result from this tool.
Accuracy and availability
Results are based on data returned by government APIs at the time of the check. Data may be incomplete, delayed, or temporarily unavailable. AusTender contract data covers transactions up to June 2020. ASIC business names data is updated weekly.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any result. We are not responsible for any loss or damage arising from reliance on results returned by this tool.

You may use Employer Check to check employer details before applying for employment. You may share result links.
You may not:

- Resell or redistribute results commercially without a B2B API agreement
- Use the tool to harass, defame, or target specific individuals or businesses

Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Australian law, Employer Check and its operator are not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss arising from use of this tool or reliance on its results.
Results generated by Employer Check are reports of publicly available government registry data. They are not findings of fact, legal conclusions, or statements about any employer's conduct, character, intentions, or trustworthiness. No result generated by this tool should be interpreted as a claim that any employer has acted improperly, illegally, or dishonestly.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the tool after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
